Questionable Campaign Donations to Somali School-Board Member Anisa Liban.
A more specific look at the Westerville Ohio school-board members disturbing pattern of accepted campaign donations.
More Updates below as of 1/13/25:
Westerville City School Board member, (in Westerville, Ohio) Anisa Liban, received donations from “taxi drivers” in Seattle Washington, “daycare centers” in Minneapolis Minnesota, and similar “businesses” in Ohio, as well as “unemployed” people in other states donating hundreds and thousands of dollars. All of this for an Ohio school-board member in a state where they don’t even live.
The totals donated are approximately $90,400, not including the total aggregate of approximately $161,000, with a difference of approximately $70,000 coming from other donors not formally listed in the filed forms that I acquired from an open records request through the Franklin County Ohio Board of Elections. Apparently, the “post-general report” has not been submitted by Anisa Liban, and the deadline of 38 days after election day, here in Ohio, has clearly long since passed.
Below I highlight just a few Ohio-based anomalies at face value, claiming to be donors to Anisa Liban through her donation group “Friends of Anisa Liban.” The below information is only a few line-items from the first page of approximately 140 plus donations, of which are enclosed in the PDF HERE. These do not count any non-disclosed donations or post-general reports.
1. Some of the locations of the “businesses” in Ohio that seemingly made donations, are vacant buildings with empty parking lots, or business with different names than what were filed.
For example;
2. This address above and below, is listed as the “Westerville Education Association,” on the filing form, yet this is the address listed above (510 E. Mound Street, Columbus Ohio). However, it’s actually listed as “Education First Credit Union.”
The “Westerville Education Association” is seemingly located here, not at the listed address above that was named on the filing donation form. So, does the “Westerville Education Association” not know what it’s own address is?
3. The address below is listed as a donor’s home address, and they claim to work for “Diamond Home” (seemingly “Diamond Home Health Care”) which is an “employer,” and it’s also listed multiple different ways on the filing form. Yet, this location below is not an apartment building. It appears to be a vacant business building where the windows don’t even look like they open.
4. There are also duplicate addresses, false addresses listed, duplicate names (their first and last name are the same; eg, Liban Liban, as seen below and on the first page of donors) and donations made by “unemployed” or “not employed”people in the amount of hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars, with those “unemployed” or “not employed” peoples donations coming from both inside and outside of Ohio.
How many people do you know who are unemployed and donate upwards of $500 or more to a school-board member both in your own state or to a school-board member who does not even live in your state?
5. Next, “Friends of Anisa Liban” or Anisa Liban herself, spent a total of $1,000 (four payments of $250 each in June, July, August and September of 2025) on “campaign consulting” with a group titled “Witching Hour Consulting LLC” seemingly located at this address: 545 E Town St, Columbus, OH 43215.
Yet, this business is not listed at this address. Certainly not in Ohio.
There is no “Witching Hour Consulting LLC” in Ohio. There is only one business with this name in America, and it happens to be a “spiritual shop” in Columbia, South Carolina.
CORRECTION: It was brought to my attention that Witching Hour Consulting LLC, DOES exist. But, it’s run by another Westerville City School Board member, Louise Valentine. It’s purpose is not listed in the Secretary States office; with the Statutory Agent Signature of a, J. Corey Columbo. Funny how the “purpose” of this LLC is not listed formally on the SOS form.
Louise Valentine is an at-large member of the Westerville City School District Board of Education in Ohio, having assumed office on January 1, 2024, with her term set to end on December 31, 2027. She was sworn in following her victory in the general election on November 7, 2023, where she defeated Diane Jones alongside incumbent Jennifer Aultman. Valentine, a mother of two children, Nicky and Anthony, is a business and nonprofit professional who resides in Genoa Township, Ohio. She has been active in public service, previously running for Ohio Senate District 19 and serving as Deputy Director at LEAD Ohio, a progressive advocacy group. Her professional background includes roles at L Brands, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Stitch Fix, along with academic achievements from The Ohio State University, where she earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree.
The examples above are only a few that have been uncovered in just the first 10 line-item donations to the campaign of Anisa Liban. There are approximately 140+ donations that were made to Anisa Liban’s campaign from her filed donation group “Friends of Anisa Liban” for her position of Westerville City School Board member in Westerville, Ohio.
I then asked the Franklin County Ohio Board of Elections the following in an email, and here was their response, confirming that Anisa Liban has yet to file her post-general campaign finance report information, as she has missed the required date:
Apparently, Anisa Liban lists herself as the CEO of this organization below on her résumé:
As COVID-19 roared on in October 2020, Somali community leaders in Columbus, Ohio, formed a small nonprofit organization aimed at assisting their community through the pandemic. Two years later, it managed to secure well over $2 million from the Biden administration to assist in the distribution of relief funding, a mission that an unreported independent audit later found was rife with unaccounted-for funding, fraud vulnerabilities, and skirted legal requirements. Despite this, Ohio politicians with financial links to the charity have continued to push cash in its direction.
Elon Musk, who President Donald Trump tasked with improving government efficiency, recently criticized taxpayer-funded nonprofit organizations for maintaining poor auditing practices and ultimately costing the public unnecessary money. Indeed, reports of corruption and mismanagement have emerged at many nonprofit organizations that receive public funding, particularly those responsible for providing community services. The case of Somali Community Link underscores how, even after an organization fails to display good stewardship of public funds, officials often continue handing them money anyway. Outstanding research, Sean. It is despicable how these people take advantage of good natured and naive Americans and rip us off. They are not alone. I am in an area where immigrants have taken over (the SF Bay Area). For the most part, they look down on and disrespect us. It's no wonder because white American liberals have lost any respect for this country, themselves, and other Caucasians.
Thank you for this article. One other interesting thing to note, is that I could not find any consultants by the name of Ahmed Ali in the Columbus area. She listed that she paid him $10,000 in consulting fees, but the address listed is a condominium complex. I have reported her and I hope others will do the same. We need to hold our elected officials accountable. Very interesting info about Louise Valentine
